SCHOOL PROFILE
Our barangay was rich in agricultural resources and mineral stones. Farming and mining was the popular industry of the people. It was known as “Minahan”, when time went by, it was changed to “Mina- Iyan”, thereafter it became “MINUYAN.” To cope with the needs of education, Mr. Vicente Villar, started to teach the young children in 1947 to 1950 in the house of Mr. Mamerto Dela Torre. In 1950 to 1952, they used the “EIMELIF Church” for classroom with Mr. Basilio De Leon as the teacher. From 1952 to 1954, the tenants of Minuyan agreed to build a school/ classroom made of bamboo, sawali and cogon with an area of 700 sq. m. to the farm lot of Mr. Toriano Liang Policarpio, to accommodate the bigger number of pupils who wants to learn. So, in 1954 to1956 the school was named as “Minuyan Primary School” under the leadership of Mr. Braulio A. Policarpio, the caretaker of the school.
